Blech....

It's cold and rainy today, I would rather be cuddling with mommy and daddy nursing on a bottle of my beloved Similac, but alas they have me at daycare with all the other crazy kids.

So I need help. Mommy had to fire someone today, she is very upset. She has not had to terminate someone in 7 years. What can I do to cheer mommy up? suggestions??

Musings From a Tub

Before we get to the tub, mommy was late to work today because I did this!

Just kidding, I just thought the picture was funny, even funnier when it was happening. I just love my cereal with fruit in the mornings.

Mommy was late this morning to work really because of this…..

Daddy and Mommy bought this off of Craig’s list about a month ago, apparently I make it pretty darn impossible to get the gym and mommy complains about how “large and in charge” she is after having me….. I don’t get it, but hey I am only 9 months old and I just love my mommy no matter what.

Anyway I digress, mommy has been trying to get into an exercise routine and this morning was the first time she tried it at 5:00am. Needless to say she feels great, but was a bit late to work today.

On to THE TUB!!! You may remember last week I made mention of a “big boy” tub that mommy and daddy were going to put me in. Let’s take a trip down memory lane before we discuss the porcelain monster they feed me to nightly.

Back in the old days this is what my bath originally looked like.

They put me in a smaller version of the porcelain monster they called a kitchen sink. It was small, cramped, even. Can’t you tell how happy I looked?

The next evolution of bathing was my best friend ducky. Mommy was super smart and found this gigantic rubber ducky tub; bliss, pure bliss….. I LOVED MY DUCKY!

Mommy, why did you kill ducky?

So now here is what my bath time ritual has resorted to.

They say I have outgrown my duck; will I ever love this tub as much? (No Drugs were used on this child for the picture above!)

Turkey & Sweet Potatoes

So I am getting heat already from Auntie Geg about being a slacker on my blog, wait until Christmas Auntie, I have a fart and spit up saved just for you.
So this last week was the passing of a time honored American tradition mommy and daddy call Thanksgiving. (What I heard a lot of was, " I hate this G*&@#**! oven, 12 people for dinner and the Turkey is still not done!) No matter to me though I got my dinner right here....

Mommy and Daddy had a good time, I was good. I know Mom and Dad worked very hard on dinner. While I had my jarred food (I look interested I know..)

they dined on :

Homemade Yeast Rolls, Sweet Potatoes Caramelized Onion Gratin, Mashed Potatoes whipped with heavy cream and butter, Stuffing (Cornbread and a sausage maple sage version) Roast Turkey that was brined for 24 hours and Pinot Noir Gravy. All Recipes can be found in holiday issue of Fine Cooking.

Dessert was pecan bourbon chocolate chip pie, recipe courtesy of Auntie Geg and Costco pumpkin pie. Mommy has pictures to post and is going a bit mad looking for her video card, I think that damn dog might have ate it

Toodles for now.

CRACK THAT WHIP!!

These People.... I am telling you, they think I am here for their personal fun and enjoyment. I am not an organ grinder monkey for god's sake. But hey, Devo is pretty cool and the hats they wore were stylish and colorful.

This morning I am a bit cranky, hey you would be too if you had two front teeth ripping through your gums, so needless to say I am not to jazzed about being forced to write this morning. Short and Sweet is what this will be. Tonight I am having a bath in what these people around me are calling a big boy tub. I think I should be scared of this but am intrigued.... I will document my findings of this "big tub" they speak of. Until tonight Au revoir Ches Amis

Hello World!!!

OK, so it's an old photo.... It's like so 4 months ago... Anyway, HELLO WORLD, I am so excited to be publishing my very first post on my blog James Says. My mom "borrowed" this idea from many different blogs and encouraged me to start posting my activities on a daily basis.

She thinks it's a good way to let the family who live in a far away land she calls Canada, and their friends, read up what I am doing.

She also wants to preserve her memories of me, as I make sure she doesn’t get quite enough sleep to keep her mind sharp. I just think it is a cool way to get all the babies of the world to unite and up rise against our parents. If you are already doing that good job, go throw a temper tantrum in a public place for your reward. Needless to say this should be an interesting experiment. To get you started let’s take a trip back in the ole time machine. In the last 8 months I have:

Made my parents change roughly 2400 diapers.

Drank about 1500 bottles.

Deprived Mommy and Daddy of around 720 hours of sleep.

Had one sleep deprived Mommy bang my head into a door in the middle of the night. (I will use this against her later in school when I have trouble in math.)

Flown on an airplane, twice.

Crawled (mommy weeps a little when I do this…..)

Learned how to bang my toys together to make sweet, sweet music.

Made poop the most important conversation of the day.

Laughed, cried, been frustrated and given countless hugs and kisses.

Made two people understand what unconditional love is.

Brought back wonder and excitement to mommy and daddy lives.

Made the world a brighter place.

So that’s it for today, thanks for reading; drink all your bottles, make big poops and keep rockin!
